Yes, I read about the intteracial couple a couple of nights ago. They are still trying to write that off as a simple robbery. Please. If it ws just about a robbery they would have hit that house when no one was home, and they would not have raped and tortured the wife. Janet is trippin. She has done a few slow songs in the past, back when she was selling out arenas and making money. Everyone knows if you take a break to start a family, rest and etc. Fans will forget about you and it is hard to have the same success as before. I dont blame her for doing all aspects of entertainment from singing, dancing, movies, perfume and other ads get the money while you can cause it wont always be there.

So racism still exists in America at these levels. At least you have a black President. It'll take us 10,000 years before the UK sees a black Priminister. Even then he'll be a complete sell out, worse than a KKK general! If I was Will Smith, that woman's apology would've been far too late. She would've had to get the sack! As a Landlord, I experience the same shit when corporate white Real Estate Agents discover that when I walk into their office for the first time they assume I'm the janitor or anything other than the Landlord, tenants too can show a look of shock also. They even go as far as saying, I didnt know you was Mr so and so, I was expecting someone different. Just Like Sunshine Anderson, 'I've heard it all before'. The important thing is to not let it get to you. Their are many ways of combating racism without the violence. Ignorance is a Disease, Education is the Cure! Thank fuck for black history month and peace to Philip Reid a black man who was born into slavery and helped to design and construct the bronze dome on the Whitehouse which is now the future home of are Black President.

Hey, I was just reading the front page...and I have a question. Okay maybe I'm slow today...lol...but I was reading the part about Keyshia cole's mother recording a gospel album, and the way i read it it seems as if it was saying Keyshia is Frankie's adopted daughter. I always thought Frankie was Keyshia's real mother, and Keyshia was adopted by a friend of Frankie...I'm thinking her name is Yvonne. Anyway, it's not a big deal, I'm just confused..lol...cuz if Frankie isn't Keyshia's real mother, why did she work so hard to get her back in her life....from what i've seen in the show.

Frankie is Keyshia's bilogical mother but gave Keyshia up for adoption. Thus the reason why it reads "Frankies' adopted (by another family) daughter Keyshia. GREAT play on words.

allegedly she was in an upscale jewelry boutique and the salesperson was being less than courteous and apprehensive on showing her some pieces. condi checks this person and says, "if you could afford this, you wouldn't be working in this store."
i would have had him show me every piece and bought absolutely nothing that day. lol.

I had a similar incident at a Cadillac dealership in which no one came out or over to assist me. The sickening thing about it, it was owned and operated by African-American women. The staff who was predominately African American just looked out or over at me (if they were on the lot with two caucasian customers in sight..when does it take 6 agents to help 2 customers?) at me with smug looks on their faces, pointing and possibly snickering. So I left and crossed over the Mercedes dealership, predominately white staffed, and recieved outstanding customer service. Needless mention, I made my purchase in full and drove my new car slowly by, top down by them so that they could clearly see while the salesman trailed me in my work car. I wanted to stop and ask them did they want bacon or sausage with that egg on their faces. Sad thing is, sometimes, racism can be within our peers just as much as it is outside. It was just sickening and heartbreaking for me to experience...

Well it looks like somebody missed out on their commission, lol. Besides, I'd take a Mercedes over a Caddy any day. Yeah, unfortunately our own kind prejudges us & don't even realize they are being prejudice. Its bad enough we gotta deal with it from the other side. I am in sales and 1 thing I learned fast is don't discriminate or be quick to judge someone - give the buyer what they want and treat ALL clients the SAME, which is fairly!

I'll never forget the time I went to open up a line of credit at a department store. A black male cashier took my application and ran it through the computer - all the while with a smirk on his face. A few minutes later a surprised look crossed his face and he said, "Oh! You've been approved." Yes, imagine that.

Girl..yeah! I suggest giving the role to Meagan Fox. She'd be more believable although she hasn't given any indication that she wants it. The same for Jennifer Biel who Warner Bros. had wanted in the part initially. I'm ready to see a black superheroin but Beyonce is not quite who I had in mind...shoot, give Serena Williams a very nice weave and let her have a crack at it..She was believable in that beauty shop role with Mo'Nique.

Beyonce pulled that BS cause she knows that the directors/producers of that project don't want her no acting bright eyed busy tailed behind in that movie. SO, she pulls the Hollywood punk way out. Deebo them into giving you the role cause if they don't, they must be "racist" then. I'm sorry, but she wants to be the next Diana Ross but couldn't even play a Diana Ross-esque role in Dreamgirls with conviction.

And since you brought up Beyonce' fronting the cost to play the parts, I sincerely HOPE that she is not going to be asked to sing at Obama's pending inauguration because she either said that she is going to or would like to be invited to. I pray she said would like and get bypassed yet again for the likes of J-Hud who graced the President - Elect with her talent at the DNC.

Love the front page this morning Halle Berry dress is beautiful she has great fashion sense and I love Donnie Hathaway I find myself listening to his music at least once a week very deep. I'm tired of Faith Evans if keep reading excerpts here and there I can tell the library to keep the one they ordered for me she is crazy I hope she leave the crack coke or whatever it is alone because she got like 5 kids now set a better example why embarress your children like that. Duane Martin is a very smart man and I love the way he treats his wife very romantic and he seems to dote on her and their son.

I'm sure you realize as we speak that heifer is probably asking Matthew to see if he can get the rights to "Loving You" so that she can do a remake. Them the movie, starring Beyonce..of course. To be timed for release whenever Michelle, Kelly, Jennifer, etc is getting ready to release their own album..or somebody she thinks is competition is getting too much press.

I absolutely LOOOVE Minnie Ripperton!!! When I was a kid I used to beg my mother to turn off Phyllis Hyman (sorry) & please turn on some Minnie. My absolute favorite is:

I picked my little cousin up from school on Halloween & her friends were all telling me about him. They even made up a song. I was horrified. I almost started preaching like Do Not glorify this creep with a song. Younger kids who don't know anybetter may run to him like some sort of star b/c he's the guy from the song. Then I thought, why don't I help them change the lyrics so that it will sound more like a warning to youngers kids to stay away. I did... sometimes you have to work with kids on their level in order to reach them.

YES!!! I was born in the 80s but my Mom played Minnie Ripperton's music all the time...I loved it then and I love it now.
She was truly talented and u can tell Minnie's family and hubby loved her deeply!!!

If Minnie Riperton was still alive today she'd be so proud of her very funny daughter Maya.
The first time I saw Maya she was on a t.v. show called City Of Angels with Vivica A. Fox and Blair Underwood. The second I saw her I said she has got to be Minnie Riperton's daughter because she looks too much like her not to be. When I saw the credits and it said Maya Rudolph I was like I KNEW
Maya looks so just like her beautiful mom. Maya had a baby girl a year ago so Ms. Minnie would be a grandmother. Maya has a nice singing voice I don't know if she has that octave range like her mom but she can sing. Minnie Riperton loved playing tennis
And yes Richard Rudolph deeply loved his late talented wife.

Not suprised about the McCant's if the story is true. Everytime I see them embrace, they kiss on the cheek. One time I swear they did the cutesy "air kiss" where you go cheek-to-cheek and kiss the air.
