And, boyfriend has arranged for her to have a concierge on call 24/7 for any need she may have in any part of the world.
Meanwhile, the famous woman who has a girl crush on her is trying to up her game and convince her to have a discreet lesbian relationship with her. She 's also offered her an allowance, gifts, etc.
So far, our black female celebrity appears disinterested and often says, "Let's remain friends, we don't have to take it to that level."

Haha...I used to run out on him, but usually not for the snoring! That's a story for another time though. I know I snore when my sinuses get to acting up, but not like that...he was definitely abnormal. The Mister is a silent sleeper though and that creeps me out. Like he doesn't even MOVE in his sleep. Puffy had been into Latina women for quite sometime before JLo. Kim should not be holding her head down in shame,cause Puffy is the 'DEADLIEST CATCH'. Hey Allup and TG, I think this poor girl is going to marry this fool. She is too star struck and in her mind she feels she is a lucky girl. I try not to judge Kim too harshly--because something about her gives me the distinct impression that she is kind of "slow". Right, No, means NO regardless of gender and sexual orientation. I have been approached by men and women, and although it always throws me when a woman approaches me (because I'm the extreme opposite of masculine...and wonder what kind of vibe do they think they are geetting) I can now take it in stride for the most part--but I get angry when women are aggressive in their pursuit in the way this BI describes. She upset me because by refusing to listen to me, she was being dismissive of my right to choose---no different from the way many men had behaved before I "got liberated".

I have a beautiful cousin, a real NY beauty. She Knows, I agree with you. The kids love it. Their food is healthy, not a lot of additives. I have numerous food allergies and Chipotle is the only fast food that does not cause a reaction. And yes, it can be loaded with calories (if you ask them to add the high calorie toppings to your bowl/burrito). They do make salad bowls.

Ok I before I sign out, I watched the 2nd part of CNN's Being Black in America. And it was very interesting. The changes for a Black man with a felony getting a job is close to ZERO. 60% of black men that drop out of high school will end up and prison. More than 50% of young black men drop out of high school. Wow! 1 million black men are in prison. There was some positive black men that was interviewed that was willing to make a few dollars as long as they have a positive effect on the community.(607 rapper in AK, Lupe Fiasco). Spike Lee speaking on the lack of support for black director to produce more black filsm because it not BIG BUSINESS. But how would they know unless they keep taking chances. How can it bring in big business when you only see maybe 2-5 all-black films a year? There are tons of white movies that hit the theaters that don't bring in 100 million at the box office. Please. These people are such liars and Spike knows that. I think Spike expect it to change since he came out of his pocket for his first film and it really hasn't. Our films show in only 1/3 of the theaters across the country. If you play a majority white film in the inner city you should play black movies in the suburbs as well. Tit for tat.

What did you think about the guy who use to play on the Cosby show views? He made a reference regarding Spike not making $100 million per film, so that's why he's not receiving money for other projects. But like you said there are a lot of movies that don't bring in that kind of money.
Also, with the forbes list of highest paid actresses in 2007 there were know african american women. Now, that is a travesty.

Joseph Phillips is his name and he IMO is the prime example that intelligence don't equal common sense. Education will get you in the door but common sense will make you successful. He apparently doesn't understand how conditioning works or maybe he don't want to. Some people lack empathy. He's on the same line as Bill 'phone sex O'Rilley. Just black. Let take celebrity kids. They have everything you could possibly imagine and then some. Do we not see pics/video of them participating in illegal/underage activity? How do they learn this? Automatically they are considered 'spoiled brats' and for the most part they are. But on the other hand how are they being raised? What about their enviorment? Same with those children living in the inner city. Look at their enviorment. What positve influences are they surrounded by? Who is actually their role model? So how can you really expect them to become positive citizens when they are the 4th/5th/6th generation of drug dealers, gang banger,prostitutes, drug addicts,abandon fathers/mothers, high school drop-outs and etc? And not only in their home, but in their neighborhood. It all around them. So to them it may seem normal. How could they know that selling crack to a mother with 5 children at home is wrong, when this is all they see. How can they consciously make a sound decision between when faced with selling drugs inorder to eat a meal at the age of 13, 14, 15? Cause both parents have abandoned their responsibility.
Racisim/prejudice is a learned behavior. Is it not still in existance? Do some still not display that slave mentality that 'light skinned blacks' are better then 'dark skinned blacks'?
As I stated, there are tons of White movies that cost millions to make,but it didn't make crap that the box-office. And Spike Lee is a vet in his field. He knows cause he its his business. Mr. Phillips clearly has his own agenda and it doesn't include upbuilding the community.
I used to hang out in the hood on the S.S of Chicago. It sadden me when I witness young boys selling drug to eat and feed their younger siblings cause the mother is sprung out on drugs and the father is no where to be found. They don't know about any exsistance outside of the hood. They play, fight, eat, live and shop in the hood. Most of them actually believe positive accomplishments only exsist on Tv. Until on day I had ran into this young man that was friends with my nephew and neice. He stop me one day and said, " When I was on house arrest, I was getting up at 7 o'clock in the morning everyday. And like clock work I see you going to work every single day. No matter how late you hang with us and talk to us, you always get up and go to work. Don't nothing stop you from doing something positive even when you are by yoursef. I look up to you for that." So here I am one person, a single black female, that had a positive influence on a young black male and it changed my outlook on kids in the inner city.

I asked him are you serious. And he was like yeah. He said I watch you everyday going to work when I was on house arrest. I was like wow.
Another story. I would walk about a mile to go hang with my girl at lived not to far from me. I like to walk cause It my form of exercise. When I got back home my cousin's friend was at the house, she was girl you are real. I was 'huh'. She said she was hanging our with her kids on the porch and noticed I did not put the garbage that I had in my hand on the ground. You held on to that paper in your hand til you cam upon a garbage in threw it in. If more people was like you our neighborhoods wouldn't look like they do. I just told her I was always taught not to litter, throw trash on the ground, not even gum wrapper. She said now see you a real gangster cause you a by yourself most of the time and you don't care what anyone else say or do. I just giggled.
A lot of times we don't know whose watching and we don't realize that what we do can make a difference. Between these two stories it took two young people to let me know, yeah you do make me think. And it truely made me think that there aren't enough in these urban cities that don't make a differnce. So everytime I go home, I visit to see whose still around and let them know yeah you can do it. It very crime ridden in Englewood.(chicago's hood) But,I have gotten quite a few thank you's from many youths for coming back to see how they were/are doing. (i shoot the hell out of there when I'm done though) LOL! LOL!

At one time you couldn't stop me from going down there to shop at all of the stores, that was so cool when I was younger. But the time I gradutaed HS, the neighborhood had changed in the wrong way. I went to school in the area and I just started changing my route. It's terrible that those children have no real youth anymore. By the time they reach adulthood (if they make it) they have seen so many unsavory things they are almost desensitized. People like you make a difference & your right, you never know who's watching you. Kids are still looking for heroes and sheroes.

Hey Supercent, I just have to say I'm the same way with litter...Hate it! Just yesterday I was on the subway and dropped the ring from around a water bottle. It was clear and I could not find it. I kept looking under my seat 'til I found it and held onto it until I came across a trashcan when I got off the train. Anywhooo, you seen the looks I was getting from the other passengers cuz I would not give up looking for it. lol

I hated Norbit until one day I had a couple of glasses, popped the dvd in and I GOT MY LAUGH ON. It may be because I "had a friend" that looked and acted exactly, and I mean exactly like Resspushia. And knew she was a dime piece. Edwina owes her some money. She is a grown a$$ almost 40 bully if you let her be. I think the movie calmed her down because I've been told her attitude really changed for the better after it came out. It was really bad/sad. Can you imagine her coming out of the movie and getting the treatment she'd been giving others for years? There's Resspushia!!! I feel for her but this may have been the awakening she needed. What is crazy is her 15 yr old is just like her, size, attitude, everything and she does not have any friends. I really, really feel for her.

When I saw the coming attractions for Norbit I said"Another stupid ass movie that I wont be spending my money to see in a theater" I didnt either. My sister not only a size 11 or 12 depending on the type of shoe, but her feet are also very wide. So she does good to find a pair of wooden planks in her size, poor thang.
I'm a 10, but I have big legs so if they're not lace-ups I usually can't do boots. Doesn't stop me from trying every time I go in the store anyway, and getting my feelings hurt every single time. And I really wanted some over the knee boots last winter! I am determined to make it happen in fall 2008 though. I WILL find some boots to fit these turkey drumsticks of mine!

Ooh, I know, and I'm in the boonies (AL) so in dept. stores they often don't even have that one size 11. A friend of mine in college and I also suspected that there are more 9 and 9 1/2 folks, and when the stores run out of that they get whatever 10's are there. Then we show up and nothing is left.

You probably have nothing on us. Ever heard of Pine Hill or Thomasville? When people ask I just say that side of the family is from a tiny town about 40 miles outside of Selma. Some recognize Selma for the Civil Rights activities but its a small town too. Unless you have a map of the state I don't think you will find Pine Hill or Thomasville on big maps. I think Tuscalossa is on there.

At first I read that as "Pine Apple" and was like OMG you might be related to my friend! lol. *rubs eyes* I think I've heard of Pine Hill, actually. Trying to remember who I met from there, must have been someone in college. If your town has less than about 200 people in it then okay, I will concede you have my little area of Macedonia beat. And I know it's possible, lol.
I'm in Pickens, one county over from Tuscaloosa, though I actually do most of my errands in MS because I'm so close. Occasionally I'll mumble "by the state line" and people will nod. I'm not so sure they know what it is they are nodding to, but I let 'em, lol. If people went to a 3A high school they usually know Aliceville just because Aliceville used to win the football championship all the time, and Walter Jones is from there. People will remember almost anything if it concerns someone semi-famous.
I went to UA so I still tend to 'claim' Tuscaloosa, just b/c it's easier than having to pull out the map and start pointing at highways and tiny dots or saying "well, there isn't a dot there, but this is where I am." I am still amazed at the number of people who don't realize that McFarland Boulevard and Highway 82 are the same thing! I'm thinking, what exactly do you think happens to the road after you pass Wal-Mart, that it just disappears and turns into the Underground Railroad? That the world is flat and if you go too close to the edge you'll fall off?
And my best friend in college was ready to argue with me up and down one day because I was telling her to get home it's just one long straight shot on 82, and she said, "No, that ain't right, 82 takes me home" (she's from right outside Montgomery). I said, I know that, I'm talking about the other side of 82. "No, no it does not, 82 is down by Montgomery, it ends with McFarland Blvd." I was looking at her like are you serious? Hwy 82 is a national interstate that runs all the way to New Mexico, how are you gonna tell me it doesn't run through my own hometown and into MS? To be fair Montgomery is south of us and 82 is an east-west highway so that's why she was thrown off, it didn't make sense to her for the highway to come north like that. But still...I had to take her home to make her believe me. SMH.

I'm an 11 as well. I'm also 5ft 101/2 inches tall. When I was young, I hated wearing large sized shoes, but my daddy told me one day "ummm baby...as tall as you are, if you had small feet, you would fall down when you tried to walk...how cute would that be?" lol so I changed my attitude.
I do get upset when I want a beautiful pair of shoes that is no longer available in my size. The internet has helped a lot with that though.

Your dad was soooo true. If you wore anything above an 8 at the age of 13, you were teased. And that was a good line for self esteem. When I was young I thought I had the biggest feet in the world. Until my body and height caught up.

Sounds like my brother! My mother had to order his sneakers out of a damn catalog or offline,.Most of the stores simply did not carry many in his size,which is terrrible.Why would they assume that everyone had small -avergae size feet! My brother was wearing big &tall grown men sizes when he was 13!

Guys it is the same situation for me and I wear a size 4 1/2, make do with a size 5-51/2 using foot pads.
People always say that they have small sizes but small sizes almost always equal 6 1/2-71/2. Very rarely will you find the latest trend/hot shoe below size 7. DRIVES me crazy, it is like the shoemakers think only little elderly ladies who wear hushpuppies have an extra small foot. Yes the internet helps a lot but again only a few Designers include the hottest shoes for those of us under size 6 and above size 9.

Dramatical are you related to me.I have an aunt with teeny tiny feet! Sh*t my feet weer bigger than hers by the time I was about 8 or 9! lol! I think she wears like a size 4 or 5! I didnt even know they made shoes that small for grown women. I was so envious back then ,couldnt even play dress up and parade around house in her shoes!

I've been lurking for a year or two and just had to make a comment.I wanted to comment on what Gorgeous Sable about 50 and Ciara's trip to Dubai. I worked for an all business class airline that unfortunately filed for Bankruptcy and is no longer in service. While at work, I received a call that Ciara and 50 were arriving on a flight from Dubai. Sure enough I saw 50 , Ciara and a few members from their entourage. I've never been one to approach celebrities so I observed from a discreet location. Ciara was very gracious towards those that approached her and 50 kept his distance but wasn't rude. Well, in the industry, everybody is cut throat and ruthless, when you see a person who cares about the feelings of others and comes to your defense, it's different, so I can see why their is a strong attraction.
When my agency had a softball game, Myra came, walked past the owner and her redneck crew and sat with the black models.
My friend was going through it, another blk model, single mother, day job, school. Myra heard about it and hooked her up with scholarship information and she got the scholarship.

Okay, is it me or does Ciara comes across a little too hard or rough around the edges sometimes. I thought she was already one of Missy's GF's. I just wanted to thank the person who left the www.magazinecafeny.com link for anyone who was interested in buying the July Vogue Italia and couldn't locate it.
I emailed them and received a quick emailed response. I called them this morning directly and gave them my credit card info, they are shipping two copies of the magazine via UPS today.
I should be receiving the magazines by the middle of next week the latest.
The person I spoke with told me to tell anyone else I knew that wanted one that they will be recieving more next week.

Unfortunately there aren't enough of us. My daughter had a new friend in 8th grade & asked if she could do a sleepover at this childs house, knowing full & damn well the answer was no. So she asked if the girl could spend the night, I said if her parents say yes, I'm good with it. My daughter says, she lives with her dad, her mom lives in the city (I'm in burbs). I tell her to have the man call me. He is so quick on the telephone to say yes, I tell my daughter I feel sorry for her friend. Long story short, he drops the girl off. By the time I made it down the stairs (30-45 seconds)this jack ass is backing down the street to turn the corner. No hello to me, no walking the girl to the door, he must have shifted the gears as soon as the door opened. I couldn't believe it. Years later my daughter admitted she knew I was going to say no but she felt like she needed to try me (don't they always test their boundaries) but she knew this ish was twisted. And he gave the girl a cell phone to "keep in touch" you can only imagine the discussion I had with my daughter about this. That was 6 or 7 years ago & we STILL talk about it. This was only one of several similar incidents.Sad!

Yeah we have stories. See my house was & still is the koolaid house. I always had all of the sleepovers bec seeing those kids in my house under my supervision gave me a real inside look at how they lived at home. Some of these girls had so much potential and just needed a lil xtra love. Some needed more than I could give but I knew they would at least see some occassion of how real love/real homes worked.
Had this other lil girl who the moment I looked at her, I knew...future stank cause she was stank in the making. I needed her close so I could watch & see what my child was being exposed to. Couldn't keep them apart bec they went to school together, rode the school bus together & had classes together. Those I need to watch Xtra close. Turns out my kid asks again can she do sleepover. Answer again no.
She repeats back to her friend that my mom doesn't allow...blah blah and besides she doesn't know your family and has never met your parents etc...
Door bell rings one day. Stnk in the making at my door with full fleged stank (her moma). This ghetto creature tried to clown me on the sly with the heard you don't allow your daughter to do sleepover's or over to houses where you don't know the parents yadda yadda yadda.
Big stank was wearing this belt ( she called it a skirt- get the picture?) tank top- no bra with her boobs playing hockey with her belly button, some type of scarf with strands of multi colored weave hanging out talking to me about how she hasn't done this in so long and she needs to start doing again etc.
All the while I am giving my child the side eye. Knowing now my instincts were right & I was going to have to kill my child before I let her do a sleepover anywhere near this persons house. Turns out the dad lived with his girlfriend- not this creature but they still got together to do the grown folks.
Said girlfriend got knocked up, he put her out and brought the girls mother back to that house. The 2 women were on rotation.
Moma stank told me this & thought she was doing it big bec she was IN now. All within 15 minutes of meeting. Couldn't wait to get these people out of my house.
I called my Ex to tell him what happened & to tell him he needed to get with his daughter bec b4 I allowed that mess to occur, I'd ride it out in jail. Had to call the good Rev. Dr. (my daddy) for immediate prayer. I. was. to. through!
So yeah, I am with you guys on this. There are way too many selfish child producing folks wasting space here on planet earth! Did I mention that the moma was stank? Hmmp! Found out she told her daughter who told mine...I was uppity and she had to represent.

You know, Collin Farrell, Robert DeNiro and George Lucas when he wasn't with his black gf are popular for going into modeling agencies looking through blocks of photos of models to get a date, black girls. The modeling industry is just as racist as any other industry.Have you tried other markets. I know it is not easy to find that many places that want Black woman in their ads or runways.If you have a love for fashion you can always try to work behind the scenes as a stylist, makeup artist, photographer etc.
I have traveled the world and lived in cities where their were not that many Black people even walking the streets.But I believe in my talent and have a resume and book to prove that I can compete.
This business has a high rejection rate so you have to be thick skinned.I had a model friend who was working in Cape Town. I was keeping in contact with her because I was offered representation there and was curious how her lifestyle and work opportunities were. She said she had very good time and work was steady.

I don't know if you can remember the scandal at John Casablanca's agency in Europe many years ago? They did an expose on the agents with undercover cameras.The agents at his agency was pimping out the girls to older wealthy men and supplying the girls with coke.
The problem in our industry is there is a lot of young women some coming from poor countries who are taken advantage of.Mind you some of them are looking for a better life and the business looks so glamorous on the outside.
I was in working on the job about a month ago for a denim company. They flew girls in from Romania. Well when I saw some of the women I was a bit perplexed. They didn't really look like models you fly in for a direct booking.There portfolios where on the table and I was flipping through them with the client.Well one of the girls who couldn't be more than 5ft5 had a portfolio with her tits and ass on display.My first thought was that the owners of the company brought her over to just to have sex.She had those semi permanent eyelashes glued on the length of butterfly wigs and fake nails.I asked the photographer is this a effing joke??
None of the models had amateur portfolios. I just didn't get it and I have worked in the industry for 14 years.

I had the opportunity to attend a women's financial workshop a few years ago and she was they keynote speaker. She is beautiful in person. She was knowledgable and approachable and she does a lot of mentoring. And fiercely loyal to John Rogers who she gave a lot of credit for her success. She came off as a humble lady.

Yes, I believe he is a producer and talent scout, something along those lines. He's short, very heavy and always wearing sunglasses, even in very dark clubs. O/T since this BI clearly looks solved from early. Has anybody seen what that troll Sandra Rose had to say about Halle Berry today. It's bad enough that she says things about her that are mean and hateful once and then twice but now it's getting out of hand. Can Halle sue her. I mean I know that Halle probably isn't even losing sleep over what some very unattractive, man hating, lesbian has to say about her, but I wish somebody would just shut her site down. I really despise that woman and I hope she knows what Karma is because it is real and she should stop testing fate like this.

I think she lurks here, or has someone lurk here, and she knows what people are saying here pertaining to her and her site and the Halle situation. Sandra has a new target, first it was Bey and now she's going after Halle hard. Halle is the sweetest person you would ever want to meet. This story was told once before on PR about this black guy working at a radio station, all the white guys were landing the big celeb interviews, someone brought it to the attention of Halle and she went down to that station in person and let that black guy interview her, the white guys were floored. She brings cookies and homemade dishes to film sets, she's hardly ever in the presence of bodyguards and is always willing to sign autographs. Sandra is a very sick woman.

to make a long story short, behind the scenes tommy boy wanted to get speilberg over to the scientologist side while filming 'war of the worlds', but he declined. tommy boy kept coming at him, trying to get bad info on speilberg. tommy wanted to plant false info on speilberg to an overseas paper. went as far as trying to get info on his wife. this is what ticked speilberg off. coming after kate capeshaw and kate's mom.
speilberg was forced to seek help from sumner who has no problem cutting people or tommy down. i.e. loss of jobs, getting hassled on trying to film overseas.

Sorry for getting back to you so late. I was at the Howard Hewitt/Stephanie Mills concert. You can pretty much download anything to the Kindle. It's relatively light, it only weighs 10.3 ounces. There is no colored text only black and white, you can choose what text to read in. I just use the biggest one. I don't like to strain my eyes. I don't think it's water proof. It holds up to 200 titles. my only con so far is it's not in color. Maybe hopefully with the next upgrade it will be in color and make it backwards compatible.
When you go to amazon.com there is a learn more link about the kindle, they show a video about it. You can probably do a find on the two obscure books that you are looking for and it will mention if it's kindle compatible. I hope this helps.

It was great. It started at 7 ended about 10:00. The crowed was orderly. It was the 30 and up crowd. No drama. It was a great show. Howard Hewitt was good, even came into the back where i was sitting and sang to people. Stephanie was excellent. Like I said it was a great show.

I have really enjoyed my stay on the boards today. Wow, great gossip and hilarious stories. Very entertaining. I know I'm late, but before I head in, did anyone happen to catch that Dateline special NBC had on tonight about the child sex trafficing in Cambodia? One girl was as young as 5. Hey now, the ABC Liquor stores in town (when I was in college) weren't in the hood! One was downtown and the other two were on the main boulevard. Hope you beat the rush though, I've seen how crowded it gets at twenty minutes before closing. Why people always want to wait until the last minute?

Before Destiny's Child's first album came out they we're working with Dwayne from Tony Toni Tone. We were friends at the time. HE told me that he was working with this new group from Houston and that they were going to say that the girls were 16 but they were actually in their early 20s. Alot of people in entertainment do this because it gives them a longer "shelf life" and it makes them look more accomplished if they have won 10 grammys by they time they were 21 than if they won them by the time they were 31. The camera can add damn 20 lbs if you have any type of meat on your bones! And that is DEFINITELY why alot of actresses (and actors) are under weight. They have to be that skinny just to look like they are a normal healthy size on film. Like Jennifer Lopez( at least befoe she had the babies) is actually quite tiny maybe a size 4! And her booty is nice and shapely but it really isn't as huge as you would think.

I just told myself today that I am going to start doing things for myself again. I stopped when my oldest started school. I sacrificed myself to send her to a private school (11 years) and to keep her looking nice. I would only get me something that was absolutely necessary. Now she will be attending a public school and I am going to start shopping for myself again and giving myelf ME time. Sooooooo, Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I know what you mean... I have an 8 year old, 6 yr old, and 1 year old. Some days I think I will literally lose my mind if I don't start making time for myself. My clothes are dated, my dreds need hooking up, etc.

And you should. My daughter is at the in between stage. Not a kid but not quite an adult yet but I learned a long time ago it's true what they say..."it takes a village to raise a child". You can't do it all by yourself without burn out. And you can NEVER be the best mother if you are not your best YOU. Take these 2 weeks to rest, replenish & revitalize.
Get a jump on some things that will help you have more time when he gets back. It seems crazy but even spending time organizing, or doing early school shopping, or cooking some things & freezing them will allow you to spend more time with him when he gets home. Go to a movie, have a girlfriend day & do mani/pedi's, dinner and a night out ( or 2)read that book you've been putting off, go to a concert...there are a lot of things you can do & enjoy- even without spending a lot of money if that's a concern. but you deserve it- so go for it.
And if you didn't do it before he left, send him a disposable camera and a little drawing pad/ crayons. Tell him to take pictures and make drawings for you and he can mail some drawings to you while he is away ( they become priceless)and plan on displaying those and talking about them when he gets home. You both will love it!

Here is the stewed cabbage recipe, let me know what you think...& it's healthy also.
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons cooking oil (canola)
1 onion, sliced
2 stalks celery, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped or 2 teaspoons jared chopped garlic
1 head cabbage, sliced
1 (14.5 ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
2 teaspoons burgandy cooking wine (Pompeian)
Lawry's salt and pepper to taste
Saute the onions and celery over medium heat until tender (about 5-7 minutes). Stir in cabbage & garlic & cook until tender (about 10-15 minutes)Pour in tomatoes & cooking wine and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover pan & cook over medium heat for 25-30 minutes, or until cabbage is tender. Add the butter, stir & turn off the heat. Stir butter throughout cabbage & serve. We do it over cooked rice.
To spice it up, I will substitue the stewed tomatoes for the same size can of diced tomatoes with green chilies (my fav version but everyone doesn't do spicy)
This is one of the ways I change up my cabbage meals.

And since you cook porkchops so often thought you might like this one also-I just made it last week & it's even better the next day.
Creole Pork Chops
5 porkchops med thickness (about 3/4 - 1 in thick)
2 teaspoons burgandy cooking wine
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 stalk of celery chopped
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
lemon pepper seasoning
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chops with lemon pepper (it has salt so season like using salt). Add pork chops and cook until brown on each side, about 5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and saute onion, celery & green pepper until tender (about 7-10 minutes) in remaining oil. Reduce heat to medium-low and add the tomatoes, garlic, cooking wine and worcestershire sauce. Season with pepper & salt & italian seasoning. Cover and simmer for about 50 minutes- 1 hours, until chops are fork tender. Stir every 7-10 minutes or so to keep from sticking and keep chops covered with tomato mixture. Serve over rice or buttered noodles.
This same "creole" style also works with chicken, ox tails or shrimp. 1 of my parents is from NO and this is from their childhood. A good change from frying or smothering.

You sound like a cook and those that cook will get my recipes. You know the oxtails will take longer, the chicken will depend on bone in or out and how much used and the shrimp will be added in the last 5-7 minutes depending on how much.
Let me know once you try them. I have a couple of more- coke cola pork chops etc. bec my daughter is a BIG pork chop lover as well & I like to switch it up.

Hey Da Biznezz, What's up Boo???That has got to be the most aggravating and annoying thing to have Missy always in your grill. Macking like a man with money. Sounds like a business opportunity for someone. The consumer market has changed but the designers haven't caught on. What a missed opportunity...cute shoes in larger sizes. Especially an online boutique that has mostly hard to find sizes, ya think?

I am actually at the other end of this spectrum. I wear a size 5. Thta's right you've guessed it, I am short, 4'11". It seems as if the shoes and bootsstart at 6. If they make a 5 it's only 1 or it's the "kid" version.

Hello Everyone, Ive just gotten home from a family outing. We all went out to eat seafood. And I love seafood!!! Louisiana has the best seafood bar none.
This place we went to had everything you could want and more and I had more than my share. That's for sure. lol.
So now I'm just peeking in to say hello and to see what's new in here since the last time I posted.
I am so full right now and I doubt that I will be able to hang too long tonight. And besides, I have to get up early for church service tomorrow morning. So in the mean time and between time. Peace and Blessings to you all, my PR family.

HELP,We've talked about make-up,recipes,and gossiped.Can someone please tell me the best products to use on graying hair?Sebastian colourshine in medium brown has always been my "natural" color.Now gray hair is popping up all over the place!I don't want to give up my "natual"color to cover up the gray hair.

If you wish to get rid of the gray whule maintaing youir natural hair color ,try looking into "LOGONA Herbal Hair Colors ".
I dont have gray but have been known to dye my hair every so often.I notice that some boxs of hair dye state specifically THAT IT IS SAFE TO USE "FOR GREY HAIR". Make sure that whatever you get ,it can be used to color grey hair safely! However the Logona I beleive is more of a henna natural type dye so its worth looking into!

To princesss, I just bought my Vogue issue at the Borders at 2817 N Clark in Lincoln Park.
How I got mine is by opening my yellow pages and calling all the Borders in Chicago and suburbs. Just go down the list and call, if they have it, tell them to reserve a copy asap becuz you are coming down to get it NOW!!!! The I was lucky. I live on the Northside and the 3rd store I called in a mostly white area is where I found several copies. I bought only one knowing others would be looking for copies. I hope karma is good to me for this gesture. My issue was only $15.93 including tax. So the issue must be 14 bucks. GOOD LUCK
