A friend of mine great aunt once said at the dinner table that if she didn't want her little boy having a wide ugly nose she should squeeze it everyday until it forms it shape. Greetings one and all. I agree with the majority of the previous responders... I think that it may be Shaq.
I get the sense that Shaq really values and respects his parents and their religious background (Muslim), so I could see him marrying and dating black women while probably secretly desiring women of other ethnic backgrounds.
It is unfortunate that the baller didn't marry the person who he really wanted. However, based on the BI, even when he had the opportunity to be with his love, he was still involved with other women - how else did he have children?

Why is it always a stereotype that white women are up to ANYTHING in bed? There are many women of other races who will do risque or adventurous things.
Having lived in the US for a long time I find that ALL of the races are obsessed with color and stereotypes. It saddens and disheartens me that in this day and age all these stereotypes still exist.

Fact: Most groupies hanging around black athletes in the U.S. are white females or often white female groupies are choosen by the black athletes to go to the after parties because guys themselves say the white groupies will do anything or almost anything with them. These same guys complain black females they know will not do half the stuff/things white females do. Color often comes up in the U.S. along with other issues such as age, beauty, status,etc. Other countries status or class comes up a lot----color is connected but not mentioned or referred to directly. For ex. in many countries the more european or non-european one looks often equates or is connected to that persons status & class/privilege or advantages & disadvantages in that society. Another ex. in england,france, etc. how do they tell the difference between themselves and the muslims in their society without the head dress or clothing (dark/tan skin,beards, hair
texture,etc.). In other words many of them do not look very european; some may be light skinned but many are not pale enough to look aryan ,etc.

Not true. All comps have unique identifiers: the IP address. Regardless of the differences in poster names, if you used the same computer, it should be the same IP address.

Before someone can "confirm" who you were they should realize that people have coworkers, friends, siblings, roommates, ex-roommates, lovers, ex-lovers who could possibly be using the same computer. Where did I say black women? Please show me. The title of the thread is Playa with a Passport. You wrote, not me, that he has women overseas. I have no idea what color those women are. The BI didn't identify the race of the woman who had the abortion or the race of the women complaining about his lovemaking. Skeezers and hoes are identifiable by BEHAVIOR not color. Before this site opened for comments, I would read Concrete Loop and a few of the other Black sites for my Blind Item fix. This Nugman's posting style is very familiar. Seems to enjoy denigrating Black women, blames them for everything that is wrong in the Black community. Always makes sure to inject into his statements 'I was born of a Black woman'. At some point he will work public assistance, baby momma drama, etc. into his posts.
He is what is known as a internet Troll, posting specious arguments and personal attacks for no other purpose than to annoy someone or disrupt a discussion. He has no real interest in the topic at hand - he just wants to bait arguments. Like the creatures they are named after, internet trolls show no redeeming characteristics, and as such, they are recognized as a lower form of life on the net.

This disturbed black woman killed her 7-year old boy child and nugman was saying, she killed him because he was not a thug. He also said, if black women are killed or murdered it is their fault, they bring it on themselves because if their killers are blk men, the black man does not wrong. Just crazy talk. Now when someone had posted a story on a black girl child being killed, he said, so what, she would have grown up to be on welfare with out of wedlock children, someone did her a favor. I have a comment on the "Big Red" story.
"Big Red" died in JUN of 2007 (?). I believe he died in a jet ski accident.
He was supposedly incensed at the way the escot who claimed to have a relationship with Tom Cruise was treated.
There was a detailed account of "Big Red's" interrogation with Anthony Pelicano online. I can't find the link to post it. Pelicano indicated that he believed "Big Red" because he held up under tough questioning, (I believe Pelicano is ex-NYPD). The interrogation was with an "alleged" encounter with Tom Cruise when he was in England filming "Eyes Wide Shut".

I knew something wasnt right with the character who shall remain nameless as soon as I read beautiful latino. It just didn't come off right. I am a long-time lurker, first time poster. I love this site! The information you provide to your readers is beyond comparison to any other site. But I must agree that lately the comment section has become quite vicious lately with the personal attacks and derogatory comments towards whole races as well as genders.
I only hope that if the comments section/entire website did become private, that the lurkers won't be left in the dark. As much as I enjoy observing the great interaction in here, by the time I feel like I may have something to contribute to the discussion, 2 or 3 people have already said what I was thinking!

You have a great site here. 2 things that would be nice features, include a setup so no posters could sign in using certain names ( Myra, Paris, Amber, Elan or any you deem appropriate) it's a little more restrictive but it helps to elude imposters. 2) it would be extra nice if after completing a post, you would be taken back to the spot you entered the post instead of back to the thread. I realize that sometimes, new info is added simultaneously and continueously but it gets a little confusing tryng to find out where you left off when there are lots of post. And thanks for being open to recieiving our feedback. I am a huge fan of the efforts of this site.

is it too much work to erase bloggers comments that have 1 sentence guesses of notted people's names? Sometimes it takes up half a screen & the 2nd half is filled with other bloggers having to tell these people the guesses were notted. NOTE: It usually consist of 1 short sentence or name WITHOUT any tidbits on the notted person (s). ELIMINATING TROUBLE MAKERS: 1) who knows better to spot problem bloggers than long time bloggers in most cases? Some problem bloggers are slick enough to only attack new comers, most will go after cluster of bloggers (regulars)who seem to work together on the BI or agree often or very friendly towards each other---THRUST the regulars they can sniff these people out better than anyone. 2)Just like when you give a CLUE people regroup---there needs to a word or phrase used to cause the same effect when bloggers get too entangled in blog fights,etc. For example, ANNOUNCEMENT BLOGGERS! It has been confirmed by PEOPLE magazine that SHAQ & his wife maybe seeking council. OR
make it a political announcement or KYW news report (fires,etc.)---nothing too out there. MANY BLOGGERS WILL TALK ABOUT IT FOR A MINUTE THEN GO BACK TO THE BI. It's a distraction. 4)BLOCK some bloggers who seem to be causing trouble 1st, see if they come back. This is a short fix but effective. I hope some of this gives you & your staff some ideas. I add more when I get a chance.

That may be an oversight on my part.I read his above comment and didnt find any sweeping broad generalization aimed at just black women. Did I miss something because I just read about a certain type of woman , with no reference being made to a race,other than the comment about the beautiful latina(which wasnt necessary,he could have simply stated a beautiful woman, and made his statement. Actually, I'm knew to the blog thing and I have been to other sites but only to read whats going on. I must say that I have never commented anywhere else and that I usually don't believe what I read on those other sites. However, I stumbled on this site bcuz I was looking for the blind item on CL and couldn't find it and remembered what the caption said about who wrote it. I typed that name in and found this site. What a beauty. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I love you guys and I tell everyone I can about this site and how you can BELIEVE what you read on here. I love all the stories from the celebs to the everyday people. One of the stories I actually know the couple because I went to high school with them and was astounded that they would even be interested in something like that. I have to agree on this one. I believe alot of the Concrete Loopers and MediaTakeouts found there way to our intelligent mature entertainment loving oasis...
I like the idea of it being open but I also like the idea of it being private. I think it keeps out negative people who are not on the level of the audience here.
When Concreteloop started posting Myra's blind items it was like World War 7 over there and now I rarely visit due to the extreme hostility. I would rather find out what's going on from a true insider in peace and intelligence.

I'm with you. I used to read CL just for the Myra Panache BI's. One in particular was posted which I commented on. Why did the hell did I do that. I was insulted and hung out to dry (my answer was right by the way). It dawned on me that maybe I should google Myra Panache and see if she has a web site. I did and Hallelujah!!! there it was.
Shortly after someone at CL decided to stop posting the BI's. I don't know if they started again, they must have but I have refused to visit that site and have not in almost a year. It's not directed to my particular age group anyway (40something).

This site is the best on the internet, new school, old school, bomb short stories, black underworld, disturbing/tragic. What amazes me, whatever category undertaken is done so well and professional and the consistency on the front page is also awesome, never a slow day for gossip on here. You feel like part of a exclusive club over here and they really care about their fans. Lets enjoy this.

What I do is, I periodically search the BI archieves to see if I can correctly guess who the subjects are. Especally when a news/gossip comes out that may be related to a BI on the site or I read something and I remember a BI post. I am getting good at it.

First of all I would like to said that this site is the best for entertainment news, The poster in here take this a little to serious at times but I can't stay way. I just wish we could get the answers to the BI sometimes. These celebrities are some of the nasties people on the planet we need better role models for our kids. To whom much is given much is tested (quoted Kayne) it seems they fail the same test over and over. Speaking as a Blackman I know I would have failed some of those test but how much Pu$$y can one man have. I am pretty sure they have sown their wild oats by now. Hey Chell! Here's a trick I use when I lose track of the comment convo's. Just hit Ctrl+F. This will open the Find box on your PC. Type in the name of your guess then select OK or hit enter. Or you can type in Myra or Paris, then select OK. By doing this, you can see if your comment was "notted" or you can find comments by specific posters. I use it all the time!

We are not going private. We already have one private division and that is sky villa. Our PR crew (posters and lurkers) have nothing to worry about BUT we will be moderating more strictly. A couple years ago I was at a Warrior game (free front row tickets) and before the team hit the court, they actually had the announcer get on the mike and GRANDLY introduce Barry Bonds as he came from the back and he and his wife went out to their seats. Not only was I shocked she was black, but the game started at 7:35 PM, it was the middle of a heatwave so it was still quite warm (even inside) and this woman was wearing a full length fur coat with bling to match. And pumps. To a Warriors game. Ghetto Fab indeed. I giggled the entire time, especially as my gal pals kept loudly wondering since when did Barry go back to black. Ahh... fun times were had by all.

I disagree totally in what you are saying and not sure on where u got ur info on Nessa but:
1. Vanessa broke up w/white boy when she fell in love w/Ramon Hervey. White Boy and his family both went public and talked about how decent and respectable Vanessa was and how they know she can get through the scandal.
2. Vanessa has never ever allowed anyone to call her bi-racial and she is quick to educate people who do not thing Black people can have blue/green eyes and light hair.
3. The Miss America organization is a business and don't think Vanessa as a 19 year old really had a choice in speaking the words that are written for her by the organizations. Her job is to represent America, no way in hell she can diss the president while she is wearing the crown. She was already getting Death threats.

This is a good reason why we as black people should stop jumping on the "Because their black" bandwagon without all the facts. There are way too many occasions where black celebrities leave their blackness at the door to assimilate, snd then come running back when they get into trouble. OJ has been a sellout fo ryears, and the only time he's "pro black" is in the courtroom. Michael looks like a bad drag Elizabeth Taylor...intentionally. Yet, when he gets busted for touching those kids or wants to get out of a record contract... BLACK POWER! Whatever negrah. That's one of the reasons I love this site, it exposes a lot of these black celebs for what they really are behind the scenes, some good some bad.

Unfortunately, many of these black celebrities have deep-rooted self hate issues. I think it's something that is perpetuated in the black community from the light skin factor to the "good" and "pretty" hair thing. People who have the features that are more aesthetically pleasing to whites and blacks (lighter skinned, European look) are made to feel guilty about something they have no control over while those who have very African features are made to feel less than worthy. We have a longs ways to go. Hey, Myra, do you have any nostalgia items or even current items on colorism and such in black and white Hollywood? I am pretty sure it still exists but maybe people will not speak out about it. Oh, if you have any thing else on people passing, please do share. I've become obsessed with that dynamic and would really like to study that.

My great-grandmother scolding my mother for not "squeezing my nose" and then proceeding to show her the proper way to do it so I would have a thin, white nose. Because "you don't want that child growing up and having a wide nose spread all across her face". My mother continued to do this several times a day trying to 'mold' my nose because she believed her grandmother knew what was best.
I cannot be angry at great-grandma (may she rest in peace) because she was only doing what she thought was best and I understand why my mother followed her elders advice but it still hurts.

I've heard about the squeezing the nose into shape. And I agree your great grandmother was only doing what she was taught.
A friend of mine great aunt once said at the dinner table that if she didn't want her little boy having a wide ugly nose she should squeeze it everyday until it forms it shape. It was kinda funny b/c her aunt is a much older woman who thougth she wasn't being hurtful but helpful just up and said it as they were having sunday dinner.
My friend said she didn't say anything because she was trying to show respect for her b/c of the fact that she's the family oldest aunt. But she said she was steaming and everyone around the table could see she was doing all she could to hold back.
I don't believe that nose squeezing thing but like you said it's what your great grand mother and that older aunt believe they knew what was best.

When my mother called me in the house I could tell by the way she called me I was in trouble about something I just didn't know what.

My mother was pissed she had to gave me a long talk after that wuppin, telling me that I need to realize that even if someone is darker then me I'm still black too and if we got around a racist group both me and the neighbors daughter would be called worse names then black and treated like we were animals.

Oh I forgot about Blackdog that one and tarbaby was a trip as well. When I was younger my uncles made a really hurtful comment about anothr uncle's wife b/c she was so dark. He said she was so BLACK when she sweat it look like she was sweating ink.It cause some tension between they too, because she found out through another family memeber waht he had said. He said he was just plaaying but it didn't matter to her her feelings were so hurt for yrs she never really had much to say to him.

Yeah, it's a trip. My Grandmother used to call me her little Ace of Spades and thought that was a term of endearment! What's really crazy is I'm only slightly darker than hmmm, let's see... Nia Long. Granny's mother was very, very fair, to the point of passing, and her father was white. I have so many shades of color in my family that we resemble a rainbow when we get together. Blue/greyish/green eyes, blonde hair, red hair and freckles, and the standard brown/black hair and brown/black eyes. We run the gamut.
Oh yeah, I won't go into the term "good hair" 'cause that's a whole 'nother issue.

The thing that gets me is that elders never really stop to think that when they make comments or statements might hurt or offend the person they are speaking of.
But our elders are so set on they're ways b/c of the way they were brought up they just don't think its hurts, they mean NO harm(I guess)
I have aunts in my on my mom side of the family who are in they're 80's and 90's and Bless they're hearts they tend to say things that is hurtful without thinking it hurts.
