My very first guess after reading this BI in its entirety was Morris Peterson of the Toronto Raptors (I think he still plays for them). Steve and Cuttino are like brothers. Steve is very close to his family and when he got signed to Houston they became close because they really bonded and he was homesick. I don't think there is anything wrong with men having close friendships with other men. Why does it always have to be a gay thing? I used to work as a bartender tending bar in the bay area, jason kidd, when he was a collegiate and a few of his friends came in late one night, jason got pissy drunk and started throwing chairs unprovoked and was talkin crazy, he also left the scene of a car crash because he was drunk and didn't want a dui. I also know two women who he transmitted herpes to in the bay area and that's just in SF. I heard he is a violent drunk and a violent sex deviate. My very first guess after reading this BI in its entirety was Morris Peterson of the Toronto Raptors (I think he still plays for them). He's paid hush money to keep girls from publically declaring that he has infected them with STD(s) but I don't think he ever got married AND the biggest thing that disqualifies him is that you probably have to be a basketball fan to know who he is. Not a big name like that.

Like I said before, I am in the medical profession and Darius swollen face is a key side effect with one of the drugs in the AIDS cocktail. Well if your in the Bay Area (SF, Oakland) on cable it comes on that Chicago channel (WGA?) 30 on Saturday from 11-12, unless there is a game then its earlier. It also repeats on W20 on Saturday/early sun morning from 2-3 AM. If you have digital cable, use the search feature on Friday to see when it will come on in your area.

I had always wanted to see some of these shows.Some I remembered from childhood,others I was too young to remember but those shows are the BEST!I just wish that they would stick to a regular scedule.Some times the episodes air sat morning ,other times late after midnight . I think Don Cornelius stated at one time that he didnt air them sooner because he didnt think that there was a strong interest in them,but he was wrong.Alot of people watch and enjoy them.For some its a distant but still familiar stroll down memory lane and for others viewing for first time an interesting view of musical history! Im hooked!

I love all the old Soul Train shows the ones with Pat Davis( by the way whatever happen to her) she was by far the best dancer. I loved when Jody Watley & Jeffery Daniels was dancing on the show just all the much ealier shows like Lil Joe even when that long hair Asian Girl danced on the show.

I was just watching a You tube episode of Soul Train with Marvin Gaye,and those women were so mesmerized by him.That man was such a class act when he performed but he oozed sex appeal. What I find very interesting about the old soul train episodes is the various soul train intro and outro songs that they had throughout the years! I clook at the outfits that the audience members are wearing and can estimate when they show aired,bell bottoms,afros.Notice that going into the disco era ,more women wearing hair blown out ,permed or straightened.lol Its funny but as I said Im hooked!
Oh and Don Cornelius with that big ass bowtie on ,lol

I liked Damita Jo Freeman and Joe Tex routines, fire! Pat Davis was good, so was vickie abercombie and william tyrone swann went on to marry dick griffey's daughter but they are now divorced. Lil Joe died of AIDS I think.

Hilarious- looking at some of those trends and remembering doing some of those things myself, especially the layering of the gold chains and charms. Couldn't be seen with less than 3 and sometimes as many as 6. And the guys with the blow outs/ press n curls. These days guys are too cool to dance. These were the days!

Y'all know Aunt Viv used to dance on Soul Train, right? Remember that tall light-skinned from the 80's who couldn't dance a lick, but thought he was cute? He also "danced" in some videos. I saw him recently in a cameo on "Two And A Half Men". He's put on about 30 lbs. He was playing a Hispanic. He used to pluck my last nerve with his non-dancing self. That's when I began to lose interest in Soul Train. I just watch the pre-1980 shows.
