This is most definitely Salli Richardson and D'ondre Whitfield. She played in one of those legal shows (Boston Legal, The Practice she ended up a love interest for James Spader's character). I used to think that she was "too pretty" for some of the guys she was hooked up with: Glenn Plummer, Mario Van Peebles during the movie Posse; Keenan Ivory Wayans during the movie Low Down Dirty Shame and I was really surprised when she married D'ondre. Although he doesn't have a squeaky clean image either. He played on a bunch of failed sitcoms after his soap opera days. Wendy Williams has interesting stories about him as well. I seem to remember some of Salli's exploits from the past that have been classified as legendary!!

Halle Berry/Gabriel Aubry: I'm not exactly sure what he does (just found out he's a model), or even if they're married (I just read that they're not married), but that's her baby daddy LOL. She's definitely more famous than him (the BI said nothing about the husband being black either). She's definitely WELL KNOWN in the black community and would be easily recognizable anywhere, even behind a mask (lol remember when she was cat woman??) I don't think this is Will or Jada either, because Jada is definitely not as well known as Will. I know that she was in the Matrix and all of that, but Will is one of the most powerful men in Hollywood, and I would never consider Jada one of the most powerful women in Hollywood. Plus, I have to disagree with whoever said Jada has been in the industry longer..that's not true. Jada has been around since like 1990, but it was only bit parts at first, and by that time, Will was already a grammy winner artist.

Salli Richardson & Dondre Whitfield is my guess also. Salli was a very popular actress in the early 90's starring in a lot of black movies.

it's angela bassett and courtney vance. think again about this. not to mention the fact that angela has only been on 1 tv show for a series of episodes and the show is now canceled (ALIAS). all the other tv appearances were tv movies or 1 ep guest star roles. no need for salli richardson's exploits to be a blind item at all because it wouldn't be that scandalous and she isn't that relevant. sorry to say.

Additionally, it does seem that Salli Richardson isn't that relevant, but some how (probably because of her looks), she IS a household name in the Black community. And if you look at her "resume" on http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0724757/ she actually had quite an extensive list of projects under her belt. And the Hint of the Blind Item says that this woman is VERY popular in the Black Community and her husband is NOT as well known as she.
One thing you said makes me think even more so that this is Salli Richardson. You mentioned that Angela was in 1 TV show that was cancelled and that the other TV appearances she made were 1 episode guest star roles.
Well, looking over Salli's resume more closely, that looks to be the case for her as well. She may have done a few episodes on a tv show, then maybe a recurring role, but only "starred" in like 1 or 2 tv shows. That's that make you go "uummm".

Here is an old blind item from Sept. 05. At that time most of the people that guessed the answer guessed Salli Richardson. So I am going with Salli and Dondre as my guess.

I think I may have stumbled upon who the black actress was the was set-up to be gang-rapped by the white actress in that "Racial Schemer" blog. Look into GINA RAVERA. According to http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0712406/ she had a break from working between 2005 to 2007 (from what I can tell anyway).
